Support the Lee Food Pantry

The Lee Food Pantry began in 1991 when the Community Emergency Needs Resource Center (“The Lee Pantry”) was established and located at St. George’s. St. George’s parishioners organized and ran the pantry with the help of other churches and organizations.  When St. George’s (Lee) and St. James (Great Barrington) consolidated in 2013 and became Grace Church in the Southern Berkshires, the Lee Pantry became a mission of Grace Church, staffed by other churches and organizations on Saturday mornings.  The Pantry typically serves over 50 families per week.

St. Paul’s is responsible for the Food Pantry on the 2nd Saturday every month.  From a total of about 20 St. Paul’s volunteers, an intergenerational team of 8-10 people serves each time.  In 2023, St. Paul’s received a grant from the Diocese of Western Massachusetts to enhance our food offerings for Latino clients.  We’ve also made an effort to have a Spanish-speaking volunteer present each time we serve.

We encourage you to support our local food pantry.  The need within the community is great.

Monetary donations can be made online here or by mailing a check to the Lee Food Pantry, PO Box 335, Lee MA 01238

Food donations can be dropped off at the pantry Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or  may be left inside the church, near the back table. (Please be sure the food you bring for the pantry has not expired – we are not able to give away food beyond its freshness date.)
